What About Brian, films: The Catch, MI:III)

Zachary Quinto - Spock
Leonard Nimoy - Spock (Old)
William Shatner - James T. Kirk (Old)

Neem 'Casino Royale'.

Mee eens.

Yelchin is Chekov in Star Trek
Filmtotaal.nl
Anton Yelchin

11 maart 1989!
Anton Yelchin (born March 11, 1989) is an American film and television actor. He began performing in the late 1990s, appearing in several television roles, as well as the Hollywood films Along Came a Spider and Hearts in Atlantis. More recently, Yelchin appeared on the television series Huff and starred in the films House of D and Alpha Dog.
Personal life
Yelchin was born in Saint Petersburg, Russia to Irina Korina and Viktor Yelchin, figure skaters who were national celebrities as stars of the Leningrad Ice Ballet for fifteen years.[1][2] Yelchin's parents qualified for the 1972 Winter Olympics but because they were Jewish, were not permitted to participate by the Soviet authorities.[1][2] Yelchin's family moved to the United States in September of 1989, receiving status as refugees from political and religious oppression.[1][2] Yelchin's mother now works as a figure skating choreographer and his father as a figure skating coach, having been Sasha Cohen's first trainer.[3] Yelchin enjoys playing the guitar, saying that it gives him "a lot of fulfillment", and is a fan of acoustic blues music.[3] He attended the Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies, in Tarzana, California and began acting at the age of nine, in the independent film A Man is Mostly Water.[3]
Career
Yelchin's earliest roles include playing Jackson in A Time for Dancing, Milo in Delivering Milo, Tommy Warshaw in House of D, and "Jacob Clarke" in the mini-series Taken. He made a guest appearance as Stewart, Cheryl David's nephew and a self-described magician (who only knows one card trick), in a season four episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm, and starred as Byrd Huffstodt, the fourteen year-old son of Dr. Craig "Huff" Huffstodt (Hank Azaria) on the television series Huff, which ran from 2004 to 2006. In 2006, he also had a role on an episode of the series Law & Order: Criminal Intent, playing the son of a dead doctor. His biggest film recognition came for the role of Bobby Garfield in Hearts in Atlantis (2001), for which he won Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actor at the 2002 Young Artist Awards.
Yelchin's most recent role was in Alpha Dog, a crime thriller that received a U.S. release on January 12, 2007. In the film, he played Zack Mazursky, who is based on real-life kidnap and murder victim Nicholas Markowitz.[3] USA Today's review described the performance as "heartbreakingly endearing".[4] Yelchin felt awkward appearing in the swimming pool-set sexual scene in the film, specifying that he felt "uncomfortable" for his co-stars and that he could not "imagine enjoying it or taking pleasure" in filming the scene.[5]
During the summer of 2006, Yelchin filmed Charlie Bartlett, in which he plays the title role of a wealthy teenager in a public high school, opposite actors Robert Downey Jr., Hope Davis and Kat Dennings;[6] the film is scheduled to premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival and to be released in theaters on August 3, 2007.[7] Yelchin has also completed another film, Fierce People, a drama starring Diane Lane and Donald Sutherland and scheduled for a limited release later in 2007.
Yelchin will appear in J.J. Abrams' upcoming Star Trek film as Pavel Chekov.

A new casting sheet for Star Trek XI that leaked on to the internet this weekend revealed the first information of how the film's creators see the re-imagined Original Series characters.
According to a report on Ain't It Cool News, that site managed to obtain a memo sent out by Paramount to talent agencies, informing them what actors they would need for the new Star Trek film. Not included in the list are Spock, a role in which Zachary Quinto has already been cast, and Chekov, who only joined the Original Series crew in the second season. The memo read as follows:

bron: TrektodayTom Cruise To Cameo As Captain Pike In Trek XI?
A new rumor appeared online today claiming that Star Trek XI director J.J. Abrams is hoping to cast Tom Cruise as Captain Christopher Pike.
Similar rumors also appeared on the internet last Fall, when Cruise was mentioned for one of the film's main roles. A Cruise spokesman then denied the rumors, which already seemed unlikely due to the public feud between Cruise and Viacom chief Sumner Redstone. However, these new rumors only claim Abrams is looking at Cruise for a cameo role, which might be a favor the star would be willing to grant to his Mission: Impossible III director.
Christopher Pike was captain of the Enterprise in the unaired pilot for the original Star Trek series, "The Cage." Footage from that pilot, in which Pike was played by Jeffrey Hunter, was later used in the two-part episode "The Menagerie." In established Star Trek lore, Spock already served aboard the Enterprise under Captain Pike before Kirk took command of the ship, so there seem to be numerous ways in which Pike could be included in the story for the new film.
IGN stressed that at this point there only seems to be a proposal from Abrams, and that there's no indication as to whether Cruise will actually accept the role.
In addition to their Cruise rumor, IGN noted that Paramount is trying to land an "A-lister" to play the film's main villain, but the site didn't reveal the name of this actor.

A new name is now linked to be in the running for Kirk. IESB.net reports that 28-year-old actor Mike Vogel (Poseidon) is " the front runner" to take on the role of James T. Kirk in J.J. Abrams new Star Trek film. IESB cites ‘two studio insiders,’ but acknowledge no confirmation. TrekMovie.com cannot confirm or deny anything except that has no Kirk deal has been done. Sources have recently told TrekMovie.com that Abrams and his casting team have found the task of picking a new Kirk quite challenging. Vogel does have a connection to the Trek team as one of the stars of next January’s untitled monster movie (aka ‘Cloverfield’, aka ‘1-18-08′) being produced by J.J. Abrams and fellow Trek producer Bryan Burk.
