Question about warp core ejection system

I have interesting question: Had warp core ejection system on starships in 22-23 century or ship was doomed if warp core has been breached?

I know that only on all ships in 24th century was warp core ejection system. U.S.S. Voyager and Sovereign had this system.

The Galaxy class can be splitted, but then you have you're journey home impulse only. JJ-A Constitution Enterprise had an ejection system too, only it was not just one big core but several smaller ones.

The warp core ejection system was a system aboard warp-capable vessels designed to eject the warp core in the event of a warp core breach in order to prevent the destruction of the ship.

Activation of the ejection system typically required security clearance by the chief engineer or a senior officer. This tactic is generally considered to be a last ditch effort to save a ship during a crisis situation and is often unreliable at best.

In the alternate reality Star Trek, the Enterprise ejected and detonated several of its warp cores in order to boost the ship out of the gravitational pull of a black hole created with red matter.

The USS Defiant's ejection system failed after a power surge triggered a core breach. So Defiant class starships can also eject their core.

Voyager did it multiple times. Sheesh...

Kirk didn't bother.

There is a bit confusion though with the Galaxy class starships. In 'Generations' there is a coolant leak and there is nothing Geordi can do... Ofcourse it's more dramatic when the Enterprise explodes, but if you go back to ‘Cause & Effect’ when the Bozeman collides with the Enterprise, Geordi says that they need to eject the core and Data replies that ejection systems are offline. So there you go.

So, in conclusion: All starships have a warp core ejection system.

Fun fact: On Galaxy class starships they also have nacelle ejection! Cool huh? Ten explosive structural latches can be fired driving the nacelle up and away at 30m/sec, but I fail to see why you'd want to do that...maybe when it's utterly damaged or something. Should've done that in "Cause and Effect"... Anyway, nice gimmick though!
