The Flying Dutch
The Dutch Star Trek fan club The Flying Dutch has announced that their first Star Trek convention for this year is going to be held on Sunday, Febuary 25. This convention will be held at 'De Bolder' in Zwolle. This is all the information that is available so far. As usual, The Flying Dutch offers very little information on their activities.
Op zaterdag 28 en zondag 29 oktober 2000 wordt in Scheveningen de Utopia 2000 science fiction conventie gehouden. Utopia 2000 is een conventie zonder winstoogmerk en wordt gerund door fans voor fans. De organisatie heeft de bedoeling een feestelijk evenement te organiseren met een hoog gezelligheidsgehalte en een cultureel tintje.
De organisatie heeft bevestigd dat de volgende drie gasten aanwezig zullen zijn op de conventie:
October 1st 2000, the Dutch Star Trek Fanclub The Flying Dutch will host the Star Trek convention 'The Borg Convention'. The convention takes place at 'koningshof' in Veldhoven near Eindhoven.
Over at the site of The Flying Dutch (which is finally online again), you can order a videotape of the Pon Farr 2000 convention, which was held Saterday 13 May in Nieuwegein, Holland. Tim Russ (Tuvok) attended the event and performed on stage with Neil Norman and his cosmic orchestra.

Saterday 13 May Nieuwegein was the scene of 'Pon Farr 2000'. Tim Russ (Star Trek Voyager's Tuvok) is currently on a European tour to promote his new cd. The Dutch Star Trek fanclub 'The Flying Dutch' was able to get Tim Russ to the Nederlands.
Tim Russ (Tuvok from Voyager) will be in the Netherlands to promote his new CD. On Saturday, 13th May 'Neil Norman and his cosmic orchestra' and Tim Russ will give a concert in Nieuwegein. The popular American band plays all kinds of Science-Fiction music. Before the concert Tim Russ will be signing his new cd. The event starts at 11:00 o'clock and is held at NBC de Blokhoeve, Blokhoeve 1 Nieuwegein
Robert Picardo die de EMH Doctor speelt in Star Trek: Voyager komt op bezoek in Nederland. Vrijdag 17 December is hij de gast van Paul de Leeuw in het programma 'Laat de Leeuw'. Dit programma wordt van 23:17 uur tot 0:16 uur uitgezonden op Nederland 3.
