In a few days, the 19th Winter Olympic Games will begin. The games are held in Salt Lake City, USA and will take three weeks.
The olympic games are broadcasted on Netherlands 2 and on the BBC and that will have an impact on the regular broadcast schedules on those channels. On Monday February 11th and 18th, the AVRO will not broadcast Star Trek: Voyager. Voyager will return on Monday February 25th when the episode 'Drive' will be broadcasted. On Tuesday and Wednesdays the BBC usually broadcasts The Next Generation and Voyager episodes, but these broadcasts are also postponed because of the Olympics. It is not clear when Star Trek returns to the BBC, but the Star Trek void on the BBC will probably take a few weeks.
Fortunately Net5 has something special planned for us. Next Saturday (February 9th) Net5 is going to broadcast the eight Star Trek Movie 'First Contact'. The movie is broadcasted from 20:05 o'clock until 22:00 o'clock.
