Paramount officially announced that the next Star Trek movie will be released Christmas of 2008. The movie is going to be produced by J.J. Abrams. Abrams spoke about 'an amazing script that embraces and respects Trek canon, but charts its own course'. Filming of the movie will beging fall this year.The last few days a lot of rumours emerged about the eleventh Star Trek movie. The plot of the film would involve a young Kirk and a young Spock during their days at the Starfleet Academy. Matt Damon, Adrien Brody and Gary Sinise are rumoured to play Kirk, Spock and Dr. McCoy.
