Episode 4 - Insiders - 4 augustus op SCIFI Channel

Spoilers schreef:As SG-1 continues to piece together clues to the whereabouts of the elusive Ancient weapon that could defeat the Ori, an alien vessel streaks into Earth's atmosphere towards Stargate Command (S.G.C.). When the vessel does not respond to hails, it is shot down and crash lands. To everyone's surprise, the pilot is none other than Baal (Cliff Simon).

Baal informs SG-1 that his clones, which he had created to assist him, are now turning against him, and he is seeking SG-1's help in tracking them down and obliterating them. In exchange, he promises to assist SG-1 by giving them the key to finding the planet on which the Ancient weapon is located.

Realizing that Baal's clones might turn over the location of the weapon to the Ori, the team sets to work capturing the clones and bringing them back to the S.G.C. Soon, there are nearly 20 Baal clones in isolation at the S.G.C., all claiming to be the real Baal. Before the team members are able to elicit any useful information from the clones, they escape -- turning Stargate Command into a battlefield.

According to Cliff Simon, the actor interpretting Baal, some of his copies will fight each other.

After filming this episode, Cliff Simon was also preparing for another role this season, in probably the seventh episode, Counterstrike, so now we know for a fact that this episode won't bring the end to all the Baal copies, maybe the original escapes...

Veel goede humor in de aflevering, verder zóó voorspelbaar.

Die oneindige stupiditeit begint oud te worden...

Je zal je verbazen wanneer je met een echte militair van de US Army praat (okee, dit is USAF, maar toch).

Ik vond het een niet al te slechte aflevering, een beetje cliche, maar dat maakt sg-1 ook zo leuk, en er is die nostalgie naar de eerste 7 seizoenen, met die cliche Gua'oulds die meglomanisch waren en synthesizers in hun broekzak hadden zitten.

Hoezo?

We zien steeds een Goa'uld met een voorstel. SG-1 is wantrouwend, maar gaat erin mee. Ze worden bedrogen, en de Goa'uld krijgt wat hij wil of ontsnapt. Dit scenario hebben we nu al 20x gezien, dat wordt saai. Landry moet eens laten zien dat hij ballen heeft en zich een stuk harder opstellen.

Verder is Ba'al erg gaaf hoor

En de balls/dots humor geniaal

Och, opzich is dat wel overeenkomend met de werkelijkheid hoor als het om Amerikaanse diplomatie gaat (ok, die van hier is niet veel beter gezien wat we de afgelopen maanden met Iran hebben gezien en de afgelopen weken met Israel en Libanon)
