De nieuwe aliens (Spoilers)

The network has apparently released a preview clip from next week's episode "The Lost Tribe," which will conclude the mid-season two-parter begun with Friday's episode "First Contact." The clip first appeared at CinemaBlend.com, and reveals the identity of the new race -- which is, indeed, a very old and familiar race.

"First Contact" introduced a new and technologically advanced species in the Pegasus Galaxy, which sent armored warriors to infiltrate Atlantis. The soldiers stole a dangerous piece of technology from Janus's secret lab ... and kidnapped Daniel Jackson and Rodney McKay.

In "The Lost Tribe," Daniel confronts the warriors about their intentions and identity ... leading one to reveal himself. Watch the clip below.



The identity of the "new" race is probably the biggest plot twist and -- until now -- the biggest-kept secret in the fifth season of Atlantis. The Asgard were believed to be extinct after their civilization committed mass suicide in the final episode of Stargate SG-1, "Unending."

We do know, however, that the Asgard civilization included populated planets in more than one galaxy -- Ida and Othalla. That a group of Asgard colonies chose to settle in the Pegasus Galaxy is not surprising. What is significant is that they either fell out of contact with the rest of the Asgard, or perhaps deliberately escaped or refused to return and participate in the mass suicide.

After a break this week, new episodes of Stargate Atlantis return to SCI FI with "The Lost Tribe" on Friday, October 10! The show will move to a new time, one hour earlier at 9 p.m. (8 Central).

De robot aliens die ik eerder liet zien zijn dus gemaakt door een groep afvallige Asgard of iets dergelijks, deze zijn dus denk ik slecht. Ben benieuwd hoe dat gaat worden.

He, die foto die je liet zien had me haast in een schaterlach gebracht en het eerste waar ik op kwam was 'Amerikaanse versie van Dr Who Cyberman", ze worden met de dag onorgineler daar en dan willen ze nog met een derde serie beginnen, ik denk dat ze beter kunnen stoppen voor minstens een jaar of tien.

Het idee rond het nieuwe ras is leuk maar het uiterlijk van het ras zelf is idd ronduit lachwekkend. Waarom is geen insect met 17 poten?

Ze zouden is bij primeval, farscape,... te raden moeten gaan voor het uitdenken van een nieuw ras.

maar als ik me niet vergis als ik het goed lees
is het zo dat die robot aliens worden gestuurd door een ander ras (de .... lees bericht ....)
dus ik denk dat het een soort leger is wat ze inzetten
