Just what is happening with Star Trek repeats on BBC2? We give you the lowdown.
The Cult team have received a number of emails asking us what has happened to Star Trek repeats on BBC2, now that Buffy is on three times a week.
We contacted the scheduling department to clarify the situation. Although there are no definite plans, it is hoped that Star Trek will return to BBC2 in the New Year. Screenings will probably follow the usual pattern of Next Generation repeats on weekday evenings.
The good news for Next Gen fans is that BBC2 holds the rights to show the series until 2009, by which time you should have perfected your Riker and Worf impressions.
DS9 and Voyager repeats however are unlikely. BBC2 no longer holds the rights to the former and can only screen seasons 6 and 7 of Voyager til March 2004.
As soon as we have more definite information we will let you know.
